The Coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak is currently having an effect on Parklands Community Church and its members, just as it is affecting the UK as a whole. We will be putting any church-specific updates on this page, along with links to resources we find that may be useful.

On 19 July the UK Government removed most of the legal restrictions on churches meeting in person, but as Covid infections have continued to increase the general recommendation has been for continuing caution.

For now, we are having a Sunday Gathering on the first Sunday of every month. As things are now more open, we will be serving refreshments in the community room on arrival, and you will be able to remove your mask once you have taken your seats. We still need you to book in for the service so that we can plan spacing and save time with Track and Trace. Send us a quick message to book a place.

We are continuing, also, to have a Monthly Prayer Evening on the second Sunday of every month. Weather permitting, that currently takes the form of a prayer walk, alternating between the Flowerdown and the Parklands/Grove areas.

Our Midweek Church is moving nights, from Thursday to Tuesday, and (subject to any rule changes) is going hybrid! What does that mean? Well, we’re planning on returning to meeting in-person, but anyone who still wants to join electronically via Zoom are more than welcome to do so..

As restrictions ease further we are now beginning to work out how we re-start our family events like the Pop Up Cafe, in line with the latest government guidelines, aiming for an 9th October restart.

Other church resources

There are quite a few churches live streaming services on Sunday mornings. We don’t really have the capabilities to do that so here are a selection of other local churches you can join with…
