COVID-19 updates and resources

The Coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak is currently having an effect on Parklands Community Church and its members, just as it is affecting the UK as a whole. We will be putting any church-specific updates on this page, along with links to resources we find that may be useful.

On 19 July the UK Government removed most of the legal restrictions on churches meeting in person, but as Covid infections have continued to increase the general recommendation has been for continuing caution.

We are having our Sunday Gathering on the first Sunday of every month, serving refreshments in the community room on arrival, and you will be able to remove your mask once you have taken your seats. We still need you to book in for the service so that we can plan spacing and save time with Track and Trace. Send us a quick message to book a place.

Also back up and running now is our Pop-Up Cafe which is running on the Saturday of the second weekend of the month. Similar to the Sunday Gathering, we ask that you wear a mask until you have taken your seat. We are also now taking card payments to minimise handling cash.

We are continuing to have a Monthly Prayer Evening on the second Sunday of every month. As the nights have now drawn in, we have moved to meeting in a house in the community each month.

Our Midweek Church on Tuesday nights is primarily meeting in-person, but anyone who still wants to join electronically via Zoom are more than welcome to do so..
